Bamurru Plains is playing host to a Food and Fishing Safari with Peter Evans, renowned chef and star of Channel Seven's My Kitchen Rules.

The four day safari combines excellent fishing, great food and a remote and beautiful location at a unique bush camp that exudes Wild Bush Luxury.

• Catching dinner with Peter Evans: exclusive airboat fishing in the realm of the Barramundi
• An interactive hands-on cooking master class where you will learn all you need to know about fish including preparation, multiple cooking techniques and some quick, tasty recipes
• A dinner party prepared by Peter Evans and using the freshest catch
• A cocktail party hosted by Peter Evans with recipes inspired from his latest book My Party.
• A full program of activities in addition to the cooking program includes guided airboat and 4WD wildlife safaris

Special Events

Bamurru Plains offers a distinctively 'Wild Bush Luxury' style to an event. Combining our attention to detail, 'down to earth' style of service and intimate surroundings with an exotic bush setting, we are able to provide a genuinely environmental venue for small meetings and incentives.

Although only 20 minutes flight from Darwin, our spectacular natural setting offers guests an environment to inspire and provoke thought, removed from the distractions of a city location. The lodge building provides the facilities to conduct group meetings, while our team of lodge and guiding staff offer the chance to explore the surrounding country with early morning and late afternoon safari activities. In season, Bamurru Plains also offers one of the best fishing venues in northern Australia, including airboat fishing on the Swim Creek floodplain.

For a more environmentally focused event, we also have environmental trainers to assist in facilitating thought processes that involve corporate environmental responsibilities.

The lodge team will also host specials events such as weddings or family reunions, and the opportunity to use some secret bush spots for specific activities and events, supported of course by a profusion of bird and wildlife in a truly spectacular outback setting!
